A satirical critique on nefarious youthful activities.
Originating from the unassuming suburban households of Perth, Australia, the lo fi, contemporary new wave sounds of Dead Tooth Hottie appeared on the scene in 2021. Following their DIY, punk and groove debut singles Receiving is Believing, and Situations, DTH have now teamed up with Australian indie label Igloo Records (Turnstyle, Lonesome Dove) to bring you their first self titled 7" vinyl single.
Featuring two new tracks, Back in Time and Mall Grabbing, you can expect consistent dance drum machine beats, eerie synth sounds, hazy vocals, 80s Aus Rock - inspired guitar licks, and a hard bassline holding it down. Dead Tooth Hottie are Mark Tabone, Blair Pasco, and Marcy D'Souza. The three have drawn from their roots in rock genres, embraced their love of dancey pop, swapped their original instruments of choice and resurfaced with some catchy experimental art-rock that won’t leave your brain.
lyrics
Mall grabbing
Mall grabbing under the tunnel
Mall grabbing
Scabbing darts and doing funnels
I'm too old for this
Dreaming big
Dreaming big instead of earning
Dreaming big
Wasting time instead of learning
I'm too old for this
Mall grabbing
Posting drawings on a Monday
Malling grabbing
Scabbing lifts on sat and Sunday
I'm too old for this
(Ahh) when you gonna grow up
(Ahh) really start to show up
(Ahh) it's easier to huff and puff
And blow it down the street
Shuffle both them feet
Keep shuffling
Keep scuffling
Keep hustling
Not bustling
Ah
